The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr Giannis Kefalogiannis participated today, Friday 26 April 2024, in a Video-teleconference (VTC) of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group. In the Teleconference, which was organised by an initiative of the United States Secretary of Defence Mr Lloyd Austin, Defence Ministers, Deputy Defence Ministers and high-ranking Officials participated.
In the context of the teleconference, the security situation, the current developments in Ukraine and the contributions of the states participating in the Contact Group were discussed.
During Mr Kefalogiannis intervention, He mentioned the defence assistance dispatched up until now to Ukraine and stressed that our country still stands by the side of the Ukrainian people, defending the principles of International Law and territorial integrity, as per the UN Charter.
