The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias had a meeting today, Wednesday 19 June 2024, in the Ministry of National Defence, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines Enrique A. Manalo, who is conducting an official visit to Athens.
Other individuals attending the meeting were the Deputy Minister of National Defence Giannis Kefalogiannis, the Chief of HNDGS General Dimitrios Choupis, the Chief of HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Chief of HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras HN and the Chief of HAFGS Lieutenant General (Pilot) Dimosthenis Grigoriadis.
During the two Ministers’ meeting, the friendly relations of the two countries were discussed, as well as the prospect of strengthening our bilateral cooperation in the field of Defence.
Furthermore, views were exchanged on international and regional issues of Defence and Security, based on the respect to International Law, and the significance of free navigation was underlined, an issue of particular importance for Greece and the Philippines.
