The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Giannis Kefalogiannis attended today, Friday 5 July 2024, the oath-taking ceremony of new Petty Officers of the 42nd training series of the Hellenic Navy NCO
Academy, at its premises, at the Skaramangas Naval Base, where he awarded the diplomas to the graduates.
The ceremony was attended by the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios-Eleftherios Kataras HN, his Eminence the Metropolitan of Nikaia Alexios, the Mayor of Haidari Mr. Michalis Selekos, delegates from political parties, the Security Forces and Embassies, Honorary Chiefs, Officers in active service or retired, as well as relatives of the new Petty Officers.
106 Petty Officers graduated from the School, 94 of which from Greece, 9 from Cyprus and 3 from Senegal.
After the completion of the ceremony, the Deputy Minister of National Defence made the following statement:
“I am really happy awarding today the diplomas at the oath-taking ceremony of the new Petty Officers of the 42nd training series of the Hellenic Navy NCO Academy. I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the graduates, wish them the best in their career and encourage them to carry on upgrading their knowledge base and strategic concept. As Ministry of National Defence, we shall always be by the side of the women and men of our glorious Navy, actively proving the State’s trust and gratefulness to the sleepless guardians of the Hellenic seas.
