The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias attended today, Tuesday 25 March 2025, the parade for the National Anniversary of 25 March 1821, held before H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas, and in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The parade was also attended by the Speaker of the Hellenic Republic Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Leader of the Opposition and President of the parliamentary group of PASOK – Movement for Change, Nikolaos Androulakis, the leader of the “SPARTANS” party Vasilios Stigkas, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus Vasilis Palmas, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy Vasilios Kikilias, the EU Commissioner for Sustainable Transport and Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas, representatives of political parties, MPs, the Governor of the Attica Region Nikos Hardalias, and the Mayor of Athens Charis Doukas.
The Chief/HNDGS General Dimitrios Choupis, the General Secretary of the Ministry of National Defence Antonios Oikonomou, the Chief/HAGS Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, the Chief/HNGS Vice Admiral Dimitrios – Eleftherios Kataras HN, the Chief/HAFGS Lieutenant General Dimosthenis Grigoriadis, the Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas, the leadership of the Security Forces, representatives of Churches and representatives of authorities and bodies also attended the parade.
Earlier, Mr. Dendias had attended the Doxology at the Athens Cathedral, officiated by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece Ieronymos, and the wreath laying by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.
