The Deputy Minister of National Defence Thanasis Davakis, in the framework of the second phase of the Housing Project that the Ministry of Defence is implementing, signed yesterday, Tuesday 1 April 2025, the award of the competitive tendering procedure for the construction of thirteen (13) building complexes in the area of Thrace.
The decisions pertain to the construction of military residences’ building complexes. Specifically, two (2) in Orestiada, four (4) in Didymoteicho, two (2) in Komotini, two (2) in Xanthi and three (3) on Samothraki.
Mr Davakis stated:
“We continue the implementation of the second phase of the Housing Project with quick and steady steps, starting from Thrace, as the Minister Mr Nikos Dendias has announced. We actually reinforce the accommodation infrastructures of the Armed Forces’ Members, proving in practice that we stand by the side of the Members and their families, we acknowledge the value of their work, the sacrifices they make every day and their constant contribution to our Country’s defence”.
