The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Ioannis Kefalogiannis met today, Tuesday 26 March 2024, at the Ministry of National Defence, with the Parliamentary Committee on Defence Affairs of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus, which is visiting Greece.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee Mr. Marinos Sizopoulos, and the members, MPs Mr. Giorgios Karoullas, Mr. Valentinos Fakondis, Mr. Pavlos Milonas, Mr. Alekos Trifonidis and the Secretary of the Committee Ms. Olga Palatou.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece. Mr. Stavros Avgoustidis.
In the context of the meeting, defence matters and the current geopolitical developments were discussed. Mr. Kefalogiannis underlined that Greece and Cyprus will carry on working consistently and credibly, based on International Law, for the enhancement of security, peace and stability in the broader region of the East Mediterranean.
