All contracts of support personnel (medical, paramedical and any other personnel) of Army Hospitals, as well as of the Army Share Fund Hospital, active on 31 December 2024, can be extended through a relative Ministerial Decision, from their termination for a time period not exceeding the 31st December 2025, so as to deal with emergencies since the appearance and dissemination of corona virus COVID-19,
The Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Giannis Kefalogiannis stated:
“Providing the possibility to extend the contracts of supportive personnel of the Army Hospitals and the Army Share Fund Hospital for one more year, we give a solution in cases of lack of personnel, assuring that the army hospitals will operate with the best possible staffing and sufficiency. Besides, for the Ministry of National Defence, the reinforcement of the medical structures of the Armed Forces is a high priority. With the Draft Bill we presented in the Ministerial Council in October, among other things, the staffing of the hospitals will be improved, the members of the Medical Corps will have a better career, whereas the structures inside the hospitals will be reorganised in such a way, so that more qualitative services are provided to the beneficiaries”.
