The Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias, upon his arrival today, Wednesday 31 January 2024, at the informal Meeting of EU Defence Minister in Brussels, stated the following:
“Today, besides Ukraine, we shall discuss the European Defence Industry, which is of particular interest for Greece. On one side, in order for us to see the opportunities to reinforce the Greek Defence Industry, but also to see the compatibilities that might arise for the Hellenic System of Defence Innovation which we are trying to create.
In addition, we shall discuss the European Operation at the Red Sea, and I will propose, I will offer, that Greece assumes the Command of the Operation, as well as the HQ in Larisa as HQ for the operation.”
